Eva Hanna of Edinburgh University, a specialist in the subject of Bilingualism, will give a talk on this important subject in our Church Hall, Sunday 1st of June at 4 pm. The talk will be in English and relevant to any family living with more than one language (ie. not just for Greeks). All are welcome.

We warmly invite you to attend our Annual General Meeting on Sunday the 25th of May. The AGM will take place just after Liturgy, around 1pm.
The main points of this year’s AGM is to update the community on the status of our parish and projects we have been undertaking, in particular the progress of our new building. Minutes from the last meeting are available on request.
To attend the AGM you must be a formal voting member of our parish (see our constitution), to do this you must have reached your eighteenth birthday and you must have attended our services since Christmas 2013. Finally you must pay a £20 registration fee (£10 for students) before the AGM. You can do this in several ways:

Today the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate officially announced its recognition of Elder Porphyrios as a Saint of the Church. We will celebrate a liturgy on his feast day of the 2nd of December.
Community meals in Edinburgh on St Andrew’s Day (our patronal feast, Saturday 30 November) and on Christmas Day. Please bring some food to share with fellow parishioners in a communal meal after Holy Liturgy.
